Helping Pupils Bloom in STEM Fields with MakerTeam

As children grow, they slowly start to formulate a plan of where they want to go and how they want to get there, be this in their employment or their further education, with more and more students showing an interest in pursuing the STEM fields.

Despite my hilarious pun, the STEM fields are not explicitly horticultural, they are in fact: Science, Technology, Maths and Engineering. Here at Willowbrook we’ve designed a line of MakerTeam STEM school furniture to help students further this enthusiasm in the classroom.

The aspiration behind this range was to explore and further nurture students interest in the STEM fields. We’ve done this by developing pieces that encourage teamwork and experimentation, independent learning and giving pupils the ability to stand back and examine problems whilst learning how to solve them.

We give learners access to a different style of learning in the classroom, we’ve opened the door to a more practical, hands on approach that encourages students to display the different sides of their intelligence.
